This is the reason why you should use firefox over Internet explorer on a windows maching:

Using IE is like going out drunk every night and being promiscuous with a bunch of ugly chicks without a condom. Sooner or later you gonna catch something.

Why?

Microsoft wrote the IE app. code to be integrated in with their operating system. This integration makes it easier for viruses to infect your system, Wether it be from the net or some other device.

firefox is a much better browser over. Even if you aren't into all the extensions and themes and everything, Firefox is the more secure web browser.
