beefing in hip hop is just a publicity stunt to sell records. 50 did it w/ his last album and he went plat in half a week. jay did it w/ takeover to sell records, but his album, the blueprint, was actually good. 2pac did w/ his records, but his dumb ass got himself killed. basically, beefing is either a marketing plow, or it's just a bunch of pussy ass niggas acting like women knowing they couldn't do that in their respective hoods cuz they'd end up like pac.
