Like anyone else, I aint too thrilled with being a citizen in a police state. But I think people like to hype shit up more than it should be. I didn't hear of or see anyone else lay a plan on the table, did you?
And this elite police force - how many times a year does the average joe have a run in with them? It's not like they're out just directing people's lives. They are called upon only under certain circumstances. The police force itself does not dictate what these certain circumstances are, so you can't blame them for doing their job. I think it's the policy makers that we all want to strangle.

After 9/11 we had people with m16's standing on every block ordering us around. Now they called the national gaurd into newark because "the crime is too bad", what happened to the national gaurd in the 90's where people were getting shot everyday in newark, and car jackings at gun point were common on every street all day long. The crime rates have went down in newark! Now they want the national gaurd there.... Idk that sounds a little coincidential to me.
