Most weddings go off without a hitch. But every once in a while, the blessed event gets a surprise twist. This past weekend, NBA star Richard Jefferson's wedding left guests asking a big question: "Where the heck is the groom?"
According to the New York Post, Jefferson was scheduled to marry former New Jersey Nets dancer Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols. Alas, a few days before the big day, Jefferson called off the ceremony and broke up with his fiancée. Unfortunately, nobody told a significant number of guests. Many showed up at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City expecting to see a bride, a groom, some vows, and a kiss. Instead they found that Jefferson had gone MIA. However, he did lend his friend his AMEX Black credit card and told him to treat the guests to a fun night without him. The confusion led to some spectacular spikes in Search. Lookups on "richard jefferson wedding" surged 5,687%, and interest in the jilted bride was similarly enthusiastic. Queries on "kesha ni'cole nichols pictures" went from zip into the thousands overnight. According to various sources from the Buzz, the wedding cost around $2 million. Next time, may we suggest city hall?

first Ariza and now Odom, their agents have screwed them over. the only chance Odom can get a contract which will be 9-10million is if Utah matches the offer for Millsap and Portland go after Odom. i doubt that happens though.
Odom failed badly.

Ain't you nervous that Lebron might go to Brooklyn? They got a real good young squad and they gonna have cap space for a max contract in 2010
This squad can dominate... 1-Harris 2-Lee 3-James 4-Yi 5-Lopez 6th man-Rafer Alston. You know Lebron is gonna be tempted to go there.

With the economy hurting, it only increases the Cavs chances, especially if the salary cap gets lowered. Plus, aside from Harris, those guys are average at best you just named. Factor in tha the Cavs have cap space, and O'Neal can probably play two or three more years, and that the Cleveland Cavaliers were named the 4th best organization to play for in a poll that included all sports... It doesnt make sense. THe Cavs owner is one of the best in the league and is willing to pay the luxury tax, and has done so the past two years. Ferry has been able to get rid of Hughes, Gooden, Wallace, Damon Jones and Marshall basically for Delonte West, Shaq and Mo Williams. The Knicks are going to be crap and have a coach that doesnt know what defense is. The Nets really have nothing to offer. If anyone was to go to NY...why would you go to Brooklyn instead of MSG? That in and of itself makes no sense. He's not leaving. Like i have been saying. The Cavs are on the verge of winning multiple championships and are on an absolute upswing... THis season is almost soldout already, there is no doubt that Cavs fans were the loudest and rowdiest last year, and LBJ knows all of this. Now DWADE....he is unhappy in Miami. ANd he is going to go home to Chicago. Miami has the worst fans in the league. Wade and Bosh are the two that will be moving.

Lee isn't much offensively, but he's already a good defender and he's still very young and if he can develop a jump shot he'd be a solid 2-guard. Quote:

The Celtics and Magic passed the Cavs this off season...The Cavs might be contenders, but they're not the favorite to win a title.

I would like Wade to come to Chi. But according to the Chicago papers he would have to take 30 Million $$ less to sign with the Bulls than with the Heat over the duration of the contract. Maybe the allure of playing in Chi will entice him, it's still good money, but man I would rather be in Miami in December rather than Chi. Does anyone know if that stadium in Brooklyn is going forward? Last I heard they were having financing problems.
