but yeah "The W" is a dope record, wheter you're on drugs or not; that shit is banging front-to-back. I still prefer "36 Chambers" and "Wu-Tang Forever" but that 2000 LP is still close to classic, same as "8 Diagrams". "Iron Flag" is the only weak link, and even that is aight.

production wise it's fucking classic but some of the lyrics was below the full potential for some of the generals.. GZA, Mef and GFK brought the heat though.

Definitely a great record when you listen to it from start to finish. I think all the Wu albums are great in this manner, except Iron Flag. I just can't listen to Chrome Wheels in the context of Wu-Tang...when I'm in a Bobby Digital mood then I'll listen to CW.

MC conditioner is inexplicably awful. i use that song as a litmus test for whether or not someone is a full-blown wu-stan (or snoop stan). the only way someone could possibly enjoy listening to that song is if they pretended to like it for years and eventually tricked themselves into thinking it was a genuinely good song.
