Nas To Kelis: ‘Pay Your Own Way’ Posted on May 20, 2009, words by Allen Starbury It's gettin' ugly ... in here, following initial reports of divorce filing between Nas and his soon-to-be-ex-wifey Kelis.
According to TMZ, the superstar rapper does not want to pay Kelis anything ... no spousal support ... nothing.
Kelis officially led to the breakdown of the relationship, Kelis cited "irreconcilable differences" in legal filings.

Nas is firing back. TMZ says that he's filed a legal response, asking the judge to deny her request for spousal support she's seeking, and even asks that she pay her own lawyer's fees.

Both parties, however, want joint custody of their unborn child.

It still may go in her favor.

Courts are known to go that way.

She's pregnant and would need finances to take care of the child if she chooses too.

Nas would have to pay up and I believe the judge will make that decision.
