just step back and look at how seriosuly nigguhs are takign this whole shit in general.

im talking about artists and fans. they talk about it like its fucking serious or important.

i wouldnt have a problem with that but we are not in the age of meaningfull or artiscally gifted musicians in hip hop anymore. theres a few.

95% of hip hop albums released in this millenium were forgotten about a few months after their release.

what happened to any acts who had just even a little bit of fun or humor with what they are doing.

Underground sucky backpackers are the WORST for taking hip hop in these days and times seriously.

there's like, ppl are always talking about hip hop is missing meaning, and intellect, or blah blah blah, that's not true, the only difference now and then is that hip hop is COMPLETELY un-entertaining.

it's either rappers that think having fun is a sin against duh heep hawp, or rappers that are producing a fake generic inauthentic fun that isn't really fun its just some guy acting like he's fun.

i like Cam'ron for this reason, he's entertaining as fuck (GEOOHHDEEEE). He's clever without acting like he has to prove how clever he is, and he, more then most rappers out now, can bring his personality through on a song authentically and have fun with it.

that album was really tight. you talk about how hip-hop is supposed to be fun, and that's exactly what that joint was. just a bunch of funky/soulful light hearted feel good music. don't see any reason for this album to get hated on, or grouped in with untalented corny backpacker garbage.
