Maybe revisit it.
Can take a few spins for Quasimoto to become more normal. Stuff like Hydrant Game sounds ridiculous by itself initially, but just put on the album in the background or something and it starts sounding normal.

And as someone else said, his first album is easier to get into.

both albums are classic to me.
2nd album is one of the most unique hip hop albums. very diff albums. 2nd album is more hypnotic, sometimes that "chippin" song zones me the fuck out.

i only have further adventures and I like it a lot. I've never heard The Unseen, and it seems like everyone is saying its different from Further Adv....is it more of a "conventional" album?

The Further Adventures Of Lord Quas is good too but Madlib highly over-did it with all the little annoying sketches. Half of the album is just TV and Movie skit soundbites. Gets annoying when i wanna hear Hip-Hop.

Both albums are dope, but The Unseen is the better album, I think there is going to be a third Lord Quas album.

Hydrant Game is one of my favourite Quas songs. That beat is so tight. I kind of like further adventures better sometimes, its more psychedelic.
Plus it has Greenery, Hydrant Game, Clown, Closer, The Exclusive, Tomorrow Never Knows, FATBACKS, I love the quas voice too, especially when madlib doubles it up with his normal voice. Last edited by J-DON; 05-06-2009 at 07:47 PM. |

It's different, but very good also. My favorite track was "Come on Feet". Melvin Van Peebles & Madlib were supposed to work on a project together but I guess it never got completed. Supposedly Van Peebles was pissed off when he found out that Madlib had sampled his comedy on his albums, but when he heard the music and met Madlib he changed his tune.

Just joking around. But Further Adventures is a bit annoying at times.
