well actually, it's not prophecy. the reason they had those 2 teams playing each other is because they played during the '92 stanley cup finals. the movie was made that off season and they used the 92 finals as the backdrop to the movie. the muskegon lumberjacks who were the pen's minor league team at the time, played the role of the chicago blackhawks.
