if you want to do any real scratching you need Technics SL-1200 turntables or a high-end equivalent. medium-priced turntables are worthless for scratching. for mixers, Vestax and Rane are both really great brands. a perfect starter mixer is the Vestax PMC-06 Pro A:
![]() it'll only run you a couple hundred bucks and it has everything you'll need. if you can't afford 2 technics i would suggest buying one deck and this mixer to start with. it should cost around 500-600 total and you can get started blending and scratching by hooking the other mixer input up to a cd player or computer. |
