That's clever...most people won't understand because they don't understand you...he talking about humanity here in a metaphorical sense...the media are constantly pushing this upon us. They see us as weak children, that's why you see so much in entertainment...baby, my boy, shorty, where do you live..."your crib". It's all a trick to make you think as an individual you are hopeless, make you have a need to look up to something bigger than you to and ask for help.
