ther was a show on the Discovery channel once where they showed how these dudes do it...i always thought it was aliens but it isnt....

these guys design it and then find the middle and use that almost like a compass and start flattin out the grass in circles usin this weird piece of wood....

i remember watching something on the discovery channell, crop circles at first were really simplistic, hell they even caught people doing them, but it wasn't till after the simplistic ones that all of the more complex ones started appearing. i think that's what they said.
