It's all about geography and climate.

With good standpoint on the map and plenty of resources you got wealthy countries. And plus add the fact that europe is relatively small in compare to asia or africa.

And then you got relatively small space with good and fertile land with many people fighting eachother for centuries, conquering each other and shit. And because of that rivalry you've got many technologies developed, long before other civilizationns

What it all boils down to is yes non-isolation (Africans and Native Americans were both pretty isolated) and war. I think most of you have forgotten that up until 1945 europeans have been killing each other on a constant basis. Europeans don't like each other, its only until 1945 when everyone realized the true implications of war (Nuclear winter) that they said hell fuck it and everyone knows that the best way to get advanced technology is through military spending/research, this is when attention is diverted from killing people and made accessible for the people. That's why Africa is so fucked up, you've got thousands of different tribes with different cultures all forced into each other by lines Europeans drew. Almost all problems in Africa stem from tribal problems, if you ask me Africa should be having 50 more countries. This is like forcing the british and the french into one country, those motherfuckers are gonna kill themselves proper, hell go check why Austria Hungary is no more, wikipedia that shit.

Europeans learned that technological development is the only way to be strong. They were boosted by the knowledge they gained from the East. You cant deny the Islamic impact on Europe. During the Crusades, the crusaders learnt alot of shit from the Arabs.

The Europeans were also incredibly lucky because of the fact that they didnt have to deal with any Mongol invasion. It nearly destroyed the strong muslim world, at the time it would have almost certainly destroyed Europe.

The multiple wars they had also help, in wartime a nation works harder to advance their technologies. Alot of our modern military and space technology can be dated back to the advancements made by Nazi German scientists.

you can't name a civilization who spiritually advanced faster than ancient egypt. actually europeans have yet to advance that far, nor will they ever - so as far as advancing on that scale they are waaaay behind.

the same ancient egypt who gave the world (and thus europeans) religion, arts, science, agriculture, mathematics, writing, ect ect - in order for them to "advance" in the first place

The thing is, if Africans want to dig themselves out of the mess they are in now, blaming the Europeans won't help them. Didn't the Americans absolutely shit on the Japanese in World War 2? Why does Japan have 2nd biggest economy in the world right now? Why is Africa behind the rest of the world?

Of course colonization and what happened in the rest of the world affected and still affects the state of Africa today.

World History affects the state of every country today.

However, it isn't as if there wasn't tribal warfare and slavery in Africa before colonization. THe same can be said of AMerica.

THe fact is, nobody has any idea what Africa would be like now if not for outside interference.
