hey's basically tellin wack MCs that they're shit is not authentic, its man-made... they can't figure 8 twice, which is 16, the 16 bars or rhymes that he is droppin

Actually you misquoted the Genius he says

"On a man made lake, theres a sheet of thin ice/ WHere unskilled skaters CUT FIGURE 8's TWICE/ Thats 16 uncut....."

He refering to the ice skating manuvoure of skating in a figure of 8 or an infinity symbol. If they do it twice then it should equal a 16 (2x8= 16) and then he refernces the 16 bars (of uncut or "raw" lyricism) hes dropping.

Basically unskilled or wack emcees just drop to half ass verses (2 8's) instead a full blow dope verse (a full 16 bars) or perhaps repeat themselves (8's twice) to full the verse.

It's not CUT figure 8 twice, it's COULDN'T, GZA said it himself in an interview with IGN (I think it was with them) where he broke down this exact line we're discussing.

if you google it i remember readin a interview wit Gza somewhere a long time ago where they mentioned that line and he sed wut he meant....
