Ghostface's verses off "Gihad", "New Wu", and "Badlands" are insane......These are some of the dopest verses, if not the dopest verses this year in Hip Hop.....
put those verses up agaunst whoever is supposed to be the hottest in hip hop....Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z.....and Ghostface fuckin eats them alive.... Ghostface in 2009 is still a fuckin beast on the mic, this dude is still one of the top 3 if not best spitter in all of rap....it's a shame how he gets slept on....

^^ i agree with you, i'm getting more and more convinced that Starks is the G.O.A.T. plus he handles so many fucking styles with grace it ain't even funny; he and Rae is still spitting the illest drug kingpin shit in the game today (together with the Clipse), he is a master at the abstract style (see "Supreme Clientele" and "The W"), his story-telling is impeccable (definitely up there with Slick Rick) and his R&B jams is always heartfelt and true to who he is. plus he got a great ear for beats, i bet if he learned the techniques and machines he could be a great producer himself.

i gotta say my favorite verse of his on Cuban Linx II is probably "10 Bricks" though, that shit is super hard and witty at the same time. "Ever since i picked it up my instinct was to shoot shoot/ my supplier was Loose Bruce (haha)... this ain't For The Love of Ray Jay, it's for the love of the AK" and "I got a bunch of niggas moving my furs" hahah, yeah he's just too ill.

Yeah Ghost definitely represented on CL2. He was on less than half the album but he really made his presence felt. Dude still has it in him after all these years and like claaa7 said, he's a real versatile mc, capable of handling various styles with such ease n confidence.

Ghost kills the album and I gotta agree with alot of what's being said in this thread. Ghostface was never my favorite outta' the Wu and wasn't even Top 3 to be honest but lately, it's kinda like he's one of the few that's keeping that Wu shit alive. He ain't alone, but damn he's been grinding hard. I think his verses on 8 Diagrams and CL2 are top notch. He hasn't lost it at all to me. I still think of this dude as a young gunner when I hear him spit [the passion].. when he's clearly a seasoned vet.
Personal fav off CL2 was Cold Outside...sick shit, that verse painted a picture. got me wishing Wiz of Poetry was straight rap. ;/

Honestly, GHOSTFACE fuckin destroys almost every verse on the OBCL2 album.......almost 20 years in rap and the dude is still putting out top notch verses....
The problem with Ghostface, is that people are so used to hearing him have insane verses, that they kind of get desensitized to how dope he is...... take the hottest verses from Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, and Drake......I have to say Ghost rips these dudes..... I also think in term of storyteller rappers......Ghostface has to be the greatest of all time with Slick Rick.......
