damn, that's a real good find for hip hop documented history, I never saw that before on TV but I have lived in NY long enough to witness some outdoor hip hop representation like breakin and DJs as a child first hand.
I was looking at footage of The Blackout of NYC in 1977 recently on YouTube and trying to see if there's any hip hop documented moments in those, since the mayhem that occured mostly came out of the ghetto and helped the culture grow. Check that out if you haven't seen it already, it's a pretty crazy moment of hip hop's beginnings

there has to be somethin earlier than this that some local NYC news crew/reporter did....
Kool Herc and Bambataa be sayin all the time that Hip-Hop been around since the early and mid 70's and shit they just wasn't callin' it that shit.... I don't think the term "Hip-Hop" came about til' the 80's when Lovebug Starski called it that...who knows what they was callin that shit before...
