They are chock full of clever one liners and decent production; I recommend checking out Ravipops (The Substance).

yeah "Ravipops" is a BRILLIANT album, haven't listened to it in a few years but to me it was one of the best Def Jux releases. i copped a promotional copy of his second album (looks exactly like the retail only the cover is red instead of black) but haven't listened too much so it wasn't as good.

i remember when he was on that TV show Made on MTV where he was teaching some kid how to rap, how to perform on stage, how to dress, how to ask a girl out, and took him to the studio with Ghostface Killah

Ravipops is a straight up, solid hip-hop album with odd and strong punchy lyrics and great production.
Being a HUGE C-rayz Walz fan, I found that Year of The Beast, he took more a Def Jux turn, and the sound scapes became a bit more experimental (in a good way), and the lyrics became stronger and more visual. YOTB would have to my favorite, and than 1975, than Ravipops. All the releases after those three, are good albums, but not on the same level

LMAO at recomending Singular Plurals.. idiot move
it's a B-sides, half fast mixtape.. ignore it. theres a reason you can't find it, 'cus it's a hollow release.. and the tracks on it aren't saving face The Freestyle Vs. Written /w Kosha Dillz is also a fairly weak release besides a track or two. I got the impression with it, that it was just an experiment, or a favor for Kosha, so C-rayz came off sounded un-inspired lyrically.. Get Ravipops, Year of the Beast, and 1975.. Return of the beast... if you like those 3, than dig further and grab The Dropping, Monster Maker, and Who The Fuck Are You?
