Redman or Method Man
WHo do you think is the superior MC? Red or Meth?
I'd have to say Redman. Production: about even for the two. Eric Sermon/Def Squad get down with the beats and so does RZA. Lyrics: I'd have to go with Redman as a sharp lyricist because of his use of more multi-syllable rhymes and clever punchlines. Discography: Again, I'd have to give this category a slight edge to Redman because by most his first 3 albums are considered classics. |

Method Man has arguably the best flow in rap history.
Redman probably has the better discography because he put more albums out when it counted. (The 90s) They both get a lot of respect though. I remember Eminem listed his favorite rappers on Til I Collapse and his first was REGGIE. Then you got Biggie Smalls saying shit like Method Man is his favorite rapper etc. That goes a long way. In the end I'd say Jonny Blaze

based on their skills, redman is more versatile and at times alot more lyrical but meth has a way better flow (reds is dope though) and mic presence and overall appeal

if you ask who is the better MC, why should we take into account production and discography? thats just off topic. Both are incredible rappers, some of the best live performers. They both have an outstanding voice. Redman has this ill lyrical style and Meth has one of the best flows ever. In the studio, id say Mef was the best of the two during the 90s, but he fell off a bit more than Red these last 5 years even though he still has dope verses here and there. On stage, they're both still elite MCs.

I love them both, i can't decide. I love Methods voice and flow. I love Redman's lyrics and also his voice. Redman has the more complex lyrics in my opion, the meanings in his songs are hard to understand.
