Darryl’s just embarrassed a fellow millenial convinced him, online, that he was a Gen X Iraqi War vet and history teacher.

I shot a 76 a few weeks ago. You don’t even know how to throw a ball.

    Plus your credit sucks.

I don’t know, maybe your right but the black projects in Houston doesn’t sound like my best life.

there's a new Das Boot series that picks up where the 1980s Wolfgang Petersen movie stopped. a new crew and u-boat go on a mission, starting from Nazi occupied France in 1942. there's more scenes outside of the u-boat this time around (e.g. in France) and there's a subplot involving (double) spies. 8 episodes

discussed this with my students earlier this week

I saw the first episode today. it looks promising. there's a bit of romance involved too this time around. since it's a series there are multiple plot lines (French resistence etc.) the u-boat scenes are very much inspired by the earlier movie scenes

California is a pretty insane place. Someone with HIV can intentionally infect someone and only receive a parking ticket sized fine. They will never do time in prison. It's gonna be like a really gross version of Cyberpunk 2077 in the coming decades. Their water infrastructure was only intended to support 25 million people. Imagine the stench when they hit the projected 50 mil.
