[wimg=left]../images/news/02_12_20_meth.jpg[/wimg]Method Man is rolling with a posse, but this time the RZA, the GZA and Redman are nowhere in sight.

The self-proclaimed Ticallion Stallion has joined Hayden Christensen, Vince Vaughn, Don Cheadle and Shannyn Sossamon in the ensemble cast of "The Other Side of Simple," an upcoming crime thriller from New Line Cinema and "Money Train" director Joseph Ruben.

Meth will trade in the happy-go-lucky stoner he played in last year's "How High" for the role of a gang leader undoubtedly more similar to the hoodlum he played in 1997's "Cop Land" with Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro. Vaughn and Cheadle will play two thieves who've been pals since high school.

Christensen (from "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones") has signed on to play Vaughn's seemingly slow-witted younger brother who is left to be caught after the trio botch a robbery. Ten years later, Vaughn and Cheadle's characters return to their Midwestern hometown and conspire to use their former partner as the fall guy in another scheme, but Christensen's character may not be as simpleminded as he seems.

"The Other Side of Simple" begins shooting January 20 and is expected to hit theaters next year.

The rumor about GZA being MIA is completely false. Representatives at MCA have dispelled the rumors that they haven't been able to locate one of their marquee players, the GZA.

"This is totally untrue, the GZA is doing fine promoting his new album and he is currently on tour," GZA's publicist Valerie Lewis told AllHipHop.com. "He has a show tonight in San Diego."

The RZA also confirmed with AllHipHop.com that GZA is alive and healthy. GZA is touring to support his latest album, Legend of the Liquid Sword. Rumors had circulated earlier that MCA representatives could not find the rapper.
